Head Coach Katelyn Cushman
We are pleased to announce that Katelyn Cushman is our head coach for Nease Girls Lacrosse! She was the assistant coach last year and we welcome her as head coach this year.
Katelyn grew up in Vermont playing soccer, basketball and lacrosse. She attended Methodist University, where she played lacrosse for two years and was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2005. In 2007, Katelyn transferred to Flagler College.
Assistant Varsity Coach Sharla Partlon is in her third year at Nease, both as a Math Teacher and as coach of the girls lacrosse team. Coach Partlon was born in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and attended Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, graduating in May 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Mathematics. While in college, Coach Partlon worked at field hockey camps at the high school level during the summers. Sharla also coached field hockey at the middle school level in Pennsylvania for one year. Sharla was a member of the Bloomsburg Field Hockey Team for four years (2001-2005) where the team established a four year-record of 80-6 (.960). She finished her career with 25 goals and 17 assists and was a starter at center midfield for four years. Additionally the team claimed victories for three years in PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) and NCAA Division II Championships. (2002-2004). Sharla was named NCAA Division II Athlete of the Year for field hockey (2004), PSAC and ECAC Player of the Year for field hockey (2004), 3 Year STX/NFHCA Division II All-American (2002 - 2004), PSAC First Team Defense (2001-2004), and PSAC Rookie of the Year (2001).
