Assistant Coach, Sharla Partlon

 

  • Nease High School Math Teacher (starting in January 2007)
  • Coached field hockey at the middle school level in Pennsylvania for one year.  I instructed eighth grade girls about the game of field hockey.  Taught game strategies and basic skills of field hockey.
  • Worked at field hockey camps at the high school level during the summers at college.  Coached players between the ages of 15 to 18.  Provided the players with guidance and knowledge on the game of field hockey.
  • Attended Bloomsburg University, Pennsylvania  and graduated in May 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Mathematics
  • Was a member of the Bloomsburg Field Hockey Team for four years.(2001-2005)
    • Four year-record of 80-6 (.960)
    • Finished career with 25 goals and 17 assists.
    • Was a starter at center midfield for four years.
    • Three Year PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference), and NCAA Division II Champions. (2002-2004)
    • NCAA Division II Athlete of the Year for field hockey (2004)
    • PSAC and ECAC Player of the Year for field hockey (2004)
    • Featured in Sports Illustrated, “Faces in the Crowd” (January 24, 2005)
    • 3 Year STX/NFHCA Division II All-American (2002 - 2004)
    • PSAC First Team Defense (2001-2004)
    • PSAC Rookie of the Year (2001)
  • Born in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and attended Neshaminy High School where I played field hockey and soccer, earning honors in both sports.
